The Lord allows US to experience a little of what eternity with him will be like!
- Ever been in a praise and worship service that elevated you to where you felt as if you were before the throne room with the angels singing an everlasting chorus of “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty”?
- Ever been on your knees praying or in your secret closet and you could feel the presence of God and you knew that he had received your requests and were going to answer them?
- Ever been in a sticky, dangerous, difficult situation and things turned in your favor with no assistance from you?
- Ever been in mishpochah, fellowship with the family of God, and you felt love and respect for one another and knew that there was nothing you could not tackle — together!
If we can get a taste of the eternal, now, is it not true also for the enemy? Consider these questions:
- Do you know where the enemy will spend eternity?
And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever! (Rev. 20:10)
- Do you know what his fate is?
“And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of His mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming.” (2 Thessalonians 2.8)
Just as the Lord has allowed us to experience a glimpse of eternity, so can we allow the enemy to experience a glimpse of what his eternity will be. Let’s do it together!
- Let’s rebuke him because he will be forever rebuked then!
But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not dare to bring a slanderous accusation against him, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!” (Jude 1:9 NIV)
- Let’s tread upon ALL his works, because he and all his works will be burned and under our feet.
I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. (Luke 10:19 NIV)
- Let’s resist him and watch him flee because he will eventually flee from us as we join forces with the armies of heaven! We will witness his eternal demise!
You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. (Psalm 91:8 NIV)
PRAYER: Father, thank you for that revelation! May we walk in the power of the Holy Spirit every day and war in the Spirit against the one who wants to steal even our immediate glimpse of heaven! Amen and Amen!
